POST: 5 MY FUTURE JOB

As a graphic design student I imagine my future job related to my career. I would like it to be an opportunity to be as creative as possible, having the chance to brainstorm and share ideas in a working group. I would also like to specialize in web design (html) and others areas like branding design, using digital softwares and tools to develop digital media, video editing, e-commerce and photography. As a person passionate about drawing and illustration (traditional and digital) I would love to incorporate these techniques to my design work.

I'm still learning and deciding what path in graphic design I wanna take, so that means I am not closed to ending up working on other things (like UI / UX design, for example). Meanwhile, I am enthusiastic about learning new things that may or not take place in my curriculum but surely establish a creative mind.

So, going back to my previous point, I would like to work in group. I also think I would like to work indoors, mainly because I do like to work in a way where I can use digital and analog tools at the same time. I don't see myself traveling that much for work, because, as I said in my previous post, my mom wants to open a Cafe, so I would prefer to help her there that being away.

In therms of salary, I don't ambition too much. I do like having nice things, which sometimes I understand are expensive, but I also have been trying to adapt a minimalist lifestyle since a few years ago. I haven't accomplished it at 100% but it has helped me to be aware of consumerism, intentional with the objects I own and grateful. So, if I'd have a salary that allows me to give cute gifts to my parents, have recreational moments and buying art materials I would be content with it!

As I'm still in my third year of college I haven't thought about taking a Major yet. I would have to think about it a lot because when it comes to studies I would like to take an English course after college, so probably I won't have enough time.
